Project Manager General Contractor – 60K-70K (Co. Clare)

The Project Manager:

  • Degree Qualified in Engineering, Construction Management or time served
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience Project Managing for a Main / General Contractor on Commercial projects
  • Experience successfully overseeing large multi-million euro projects in Ireland or the U.K.
  • Driven and able to work autonomously, take the lead and make the project their own

The Role:

  • Project duration over two years containing multiple stages – demolition, groundworks, construction and interior finish
  • Reporting directly to company Contracts Manager, the Project Manager will oversee a full project team and crews of subcontractors, ensuring the project programme is fulfilled to budget, quality and safety goals
  • Act as point of contact for Client and Architect on project developments
  • Maintain and oversee quality of works, resolving technical difficulties
  • Preparation of project plan, preparation of subcontractor packages, roll out of daily and weekly tasks for site management and engineering teams
  • Foreseeing obstacles and ensuring smooth execution of scope of works
  • Project reporting, liaison with project QS teams, design, planners, project co-ordinators
  • Risk assessments and method statements, keeping safety of workers at the forefront of all decisions
