Fleet Tech Manager required – Full time – Dublin 9

We are currently seeking a Fleet Tech Manager for a full-time permanent role in Dublin 9. The right candidate must have experience in the automotive, installation and service technician industry.

Salary: €40,000

Hours: 8am – 5/6pm (Mon – Fri)

Would be required to work the occasional Saturday’s

Responsibilities:

  •  Manage and perform the process of in-fleeting and de-fleeting vehicles, including GoCar branding preparation and installation of GoCar proprietary access system
  • Manage the upkeep, maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of the Tech areaManage stock control of the Tech area
  • Ensure the highest level of attention to the security of company fleet and assets.
  • Responsible for on-site Health & Safety and that of work colleagues
  • Working in conjunction with on street team to resolve issues remotely where possible reducing vehicle down-time.
  • Manage performance on weekly Tech tasks to maximize vehicle condition and uptime whilst minimising costs
  • Work within a budget while maintaining excellent fleet condition and minimizing vehicle downtime
  • Perform all field vehicle tasks, when required regarding the GoCar and Direct to Car Fleet
  • Manage fleet tech staff Work with the Europcar Fleet Operations or  GoCar Growth Manager to acquire new parking locations in key areas
  • Assigns daily tasks to Europcar Fleet Operations in relation to Technical and availability issues when required.
    Leverages established lean process concepts
  • Handle Technical Fleet-related customer service issues as conveyed by the Contact Center or Fleet Operations Team.
  • Identifies big picture trends/issues and recommends solutions to expand and improve the GoCar Fleet Tech requirements Identifies issues that may impact the GoCar Fleet for customers.
  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases for our hardware, firmware and software platforms based on requirements, scenarios, user stories and technical design specifications.
  • Work closely with hardware and firmware engineering teams to test new features/improvements to our deployed telematics units.
  • Help in diagnosing issues and validating fixes related to deployed hardware units.
  • Contribute to the product growth by validating next iteration of hardware and software.
  • Test web and mobile applications to validate end to end member experience – including but not limited to manual           
  • functional test system integration testing, user acceptance testing, cross browser, and security testing.
  • Track and report quality assurance metrics on a weekly basis

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the automotive/ installation/electrical/service technician industry
  • Team player with excellent communication, IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Previous direct management experience
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Good communications skills – both written and verbal
  • Full Clean driving license
