Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns and provide troubleshooting support for both mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure all safety and environmental controls are integrated into maintenance activities.
- Support production teams in meeting targets by maintaining equipment efficiency.
- Monitor equipment performance, intervene when issues arise, and document actions in the CMMS system.
- Assist with new equipment installations, modifications, and supplier collaborations.
- Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on technical tasks.
- Maintain a safe, organized workshop and adhere to all health and safety policies.
- Record, report, and escalate issues promptly, ensuring continuous communication with management.
- Conduct accident investigations and collaborate with management on preventative measures.
Key Skills:
- Multi-skilled in mechanical and electrical systems, with experience in high-speed, PLC-controlled equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.

- Proficient in using CMMS and other maintenance-related software.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant trade qualification (electrician or fitter).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, automation, and PLC systems.
- Good understanding of health, safety, and food safety regulations.
Health and Safety Duties:
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including the use of PPE and safety devices.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Report any hazards, accidents, or incidents immediately and assist in corrective actions.
- Participate in safety audits and ensure the workplace is safe for all employees.
